As I think about all that we have been through over the past 20 years, it struck me that we have been married 1/2 our lives. We joke around that it seems like forever but really and truly, it doesn't seem like 20 years. I think that because we are friends as well as husband and wife, it has made the years seem so much shorter.
I tell people that I married my best friend and I really mean that. Who else would put up with the good, the bad, the pretty, and the ugly and still hang around and love me. I could never picture my life with anyone else. He is the one who comforts me, holds me, listens to me, and takes care of me. I am blessed with a Godly man and someone who is strong in what he believes. I know that it sounds like a fairy tale marriage and in a lot of ways it is but believe me when I say that we have had our share of ups and downs but our love for each out weighs all that.
I wish I could say that we had this fabulous trip planned or this great party happening but we will celebrate our anniversary in our traditional way--dinner out without the kids two or three days after the actual day and snuggling on the couch while watching a movie or TV show later with the kids. What can I say, after 20 years of marriage......

Congratulations! I can't believe it's been 20 years since I wore that. pink. dress. : ) And an evening without the kids (and not cleaning house!) sounds very nice to me!
Wow! 20 years! Congrats. I have not been around for all of it but I have since your 7 year anniversary. Time has flown by.
You kinda made it easy for me to remember, too, yet somehow I manage to forget. Blessings to you and best wishes for the next 20!
