This Week

Hi, this is Lynne.  Normally, Jeff writes but I wanted to put in my two cents today.  This week is going to be a very special week for our family.  Jeff and I are going to be celebrating our 20th Anniversary on Wednesday.  Yes, we were married on April 1st.  Jeff picked this date because he knew he would remember it every year.
As I think about all that we have been through over the past 20 years, it struck me that we have been married 1/2 our lives.  We joke around that it seems like forever but really and truly, it doesn't seem like 20 years.  I think that because we are friends as well as husband and wife, it has made the years seem so much shorter.
I tell people that I married my best friend and I really mean that.  Who else would put up with the good, the bad, the pretty, and the ugly and still hang around and love me.  I could never picture my life with anyone else.  He is the one who comforts me, holds me, listens to me, and takes care of me.  I am blessed with a Godly man and someone who is strong in what he believes.  I know that it sounds like a fairy tale marriage and in a lot of ways it is but believe me when I say that we have had our share of ups and downs but our love for each out weighs all that.
I wish I could say that we had this fabulous trip planned or this great party happening but we will celebrate our anniversary in our traditional way--dinner out without the kids two or three days after the actual day and snuggling on the couch while watching a movie or TV show later with the kids.  What can I say, after 20 years of marriage......

He's a dog, he's a workin' dog, he's a hard workin' dog.

That title was a song on Seasame Street when one of our kids was growing up.  I think it applies to Chico this week.  I took these pictures while I was off work on last Thursday.
He was protecting his tuft.  There were three coyote intruders total.
